Looking for a fun and structured way to introduce your child to tennis or help them take their game to the next level? PTA’s Junior Tennis Clinics provide a supportive environment where kids develop essential skills through age-appropriate instruction, movement drills, strategy sessions, and match play. Players are grouped by skill level and progress through different ball stages—Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow—to ensure the right level of challenge and growth.

🏆 Key Focus Areas & Progression

Our program is designed to help young players develop:
✔ Fundamental stroke mechanics (forehand, backhand, volleys, serve)
✔ Footwork and movement for improved coordination and court coverage
✔ Match play strategies, including offensive and defensive tactics
✔ Understanding of scoring, court positioning, and competitive play

🟠🟢🟡 Orange, Green & Yellow Ball (Ages 7-14) – 90 Minutes

🏟 Courts: Full-sized courts with appropriate ball type

🟠 Orange Ball: Mid-size court with a slightly faster ball
🟢 Green Ball: Full court with a slightly lower compression ball
🟡 Yellow Ball: Standard tennis ball for advanced juniors

⏳ Dynamic Warm-up (15 min): Footwork & agility drills
🎾 Stroke Development & Consistency (15 min)
📍 Tactical Play & Court Positioning (15 min)

Players start with Red Ball Tennis (ages 5-7), using a smaller court and slower ball to build control and confidence. As they improve, they progress to Orange, Green, and Yellow Ball Tennis, transitioning to larger courts and faster balls. Coaches assess players every four weeks to ensure they’re in the right group and advancing at their own pace.
