Meet Our Board of Directors

Sarah House, President

Sarah has played tennis since childhood in Ohio and competed for two years as a walk-on at the University of Toledo. Rated a 4.5 for many years, she excelled in singles while competing in adult leagues. Transitioning to coaching, she taught kids and adults through parks programs and tennis clubs. After moving to Paducah in 2020, Sarah joined local leagues, taught Tennis Apprentice for Paducah Parks, and joined the Paducah Tennis Association board, becoming its president in 2023. She hopes to expand tennis participation in 2025 by increasing court access, volunteers, and player engagement.

Jane Gamble

Jane and her best friend, Jan Crawford,  started the Paducah Tennis Association CTA in 1991. They provided tennis to thousands of youth along with fundraising and building the seven Chad Gamble courts at Paducah Tilghman High School. Jane believes that CTAs are the heartbeat of local tennis, and the Paducah Tennis Association exemplifies this heartbeat in Paducah. Although she no longer plays,  her time is dedicated to PTA, USTA Kentucky, USTA Southern region and USTA National, and is currently serving on both Southern and National committees. Jane is proud that PTA has added an NJTL (National Junior Tennis/Learning) program to its programming and looks forward to growing it even more in 2025.

This is her third year as the Paducah Local League Coordinator, and she’s thrilled to continue building on the success of previous seasons. Kara aims to create a positive and enjoyable experience for all players, from seasoned veterans to those just starting out. She is excited for another fantastic season of local league play!

Catherine Lamsfuss, Community Coordinator

Catherine has been PTA’s Community Coordinator since 2023.  She played tennis in high school and then rediscovered her passion for the game after moving back to Paducah in 2018. Since that time, she has been active in league and social play.  She loves helping PTA grow and connect new and veteran players to each other and new programs.  Her goal for 2025 is see more Paducah area players engage with PTA’s amazing programs.
